CYIADA Project Development Blog

Geeks for Christ wanted!

We’re looking for a programmer to help shape something exciting and extensible and new and productive for the Gospel.

If you’ve proven experience:

  • building dynamic websites using MVC-style PHP, Python or Java
  • with a relational database (MySQL/PostgreSQL preferably, but it’s a clean slate — SQLite is even an option, if that’s where it’s at for you!)
  • creating AJAX-powered interfaces securely
  • connecting to 3rd party service providers using APIs (payment gateways, SMS, etc.)
  • using code versioning systems (Subversion or CVS)
  • working in a small team environment

We’d be (very) interested in hearing from you.

Experience with LDAP considered advantageous, as would be knowledge of frameworks such as Django, Struts or similar.

This is a remunerated position under Anglican Youthworks — you don’t have to be an Anglican, though an interest in youth ministry is obviously a bonus!
